it plays out in the cities where teenage kids are somehow armed to the hilt. and it plays out, in the sports world. where young athletes are disproportionately armed. tony dungey, one of the most respected people in all of sports on our program sunday night said that one year when he coached the colts, he had 80 players before they cut the roster down. 80 players in training camp. he said how many of you guys own a gun? and roughly 65 hands went up. even if all those guns were obtained legally, you can't have 65 guys in their 20s and 30s, aggressive young men, subject to impulses without something bad happening. i posed this question. i didn't have time to pose it sunday night but i'll pose it here. give me one example of an athlete. i know it has happened in society. give me one example of a professional athlete who by virtue of his having a gun took a dangerous situation and turned it around for the better. i can't think of a single one. but sadly, i can think of dozen whereby virtue of having a gun, a professional athlete wound up in a tragic situation. >>

he said watt cost the city tens of millions of dollars. public safety rule, i'm told that never come up. just that the council better not cut those fines unless they have a way to make up that cash. isn't that what we suspected all along? sure, the mayor says he wants everybody to slow down but the evidence suggests he loves the pun knee that comes in. heck, the city is practically addict to it. it's like a tax on fast drivers. when you think about it, how bizarre is it to think about hoping that that tax brings in as much money as possible. i don't like speed cameras looking over my shoulder as much as anyone, but on balance we have to say they are ripe for abuse. at least someone up there is trying to keep in in check. >> i just don't like them. i'll admit it. not that i've ever been caught. no. >> 63 today so we kind of step down slowly. >> from the 70s. >> it could be worse in december. it could go from 70s to 30s. we're dog step down tomorrow. feel more like late december. let's start with a live look outside. it is our michael & son

have 48 city scarlet i met several hundred who watch the show every week. there is political gridlock on both parties and many of you are concerned about the country. your kids and grand kids could have a better life in you. the recurring theme i heard over and over was the sense that our leaders weren't leading and they aren't listening. the elections accident a clear message. they said meet the new boss instesame as the old boss. same president, same senate, same house. we truly made have will sunk the titanic. we may have put too much hope in human beings could have solved problems in many cases not nearly as booed good at it. you at least balance your checkbook at home and you pay your bills and you show up for work. washington hasn't balanced it's checkbook. it has to borrow money from the chinese to pay its bills. barely shows any real work or progress on our behalf. maybe they just aren't listening to us any more. it occurred to me if they won't listen to us i wonder if they will listen to a stronger voice. i wonder if they will listen to god? walls
